[1]Date of church

This Anglican parish church was built in 1960 to the designs of Covell, Matthews and Partners, on the site of an earlier 19th century church that had been badly damaged by wartime bombing. The bell can be seen hanging from an open bell cote. The dedication of St Bartholomew was added to the parish on the demolition of the neighbouring St Bartholomew’s church in 1993.
