Derry Journal - Monday 12 June 1893 BLESSING OF CARRIGART CHURCH BELL Carrigart, Sunday Night [Sun 11 Jun 1893]. … For the fine bell, which is solidly fixed on a framework supported by metal pillars in the chapel year, Carrigart is indebted to the large-hearted munificence of an esteemed parishioner, the late Rev. Rather McGarvey. The bell weighs over two tons, and is one of the finest of its kind in the northern counties. [Extracted, Dickon R Love, July 2024]
