[1]Dedication of the bell
Irish News and Belfast Morning News - Saturday 23 July 1910 – New Bell at Clonard On Sunday last the magnificent new bell for the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer at Clonard, Belfast, was solemnly consecrated for the Redemptorist Fathers by his Lordship the Most Rev. Dr. Tohill, Lord Bishop of the diocese, in the presence of the Rector, Very Rev. Father O’Lverty, C.SS.R., and all the members of the community. The bell is a fine specimen of Irish workmanship, its founder being Mr. Byrne, of James Street, Dublin. It weights 42½cwts.

Taken from O’Byrne’s list of bells over two tons in Ireland (Northern Ireland and the Republic) - extracted from the 1962 catalogue (which lists bells is descending order of weight province by province) 44½ cwt bell for Very Reverend P. Griffith, C.S.S.R., Clonard, Belfast, Co. Antrim, 1909
. However the Irish News and Belfast Morning News, Saturday 23 July 1910, gives the bell as 42½ cwt.
