Cork Examiner - Tuesday 29 October 1901 – The Consecration of the Bell by the Lord Bishop of Limerick “The bell cost £500.” “The bell weighs over 46cwt, and was cast by Mr Mathew Byrne, of Fountain Head Bell Foundry, James street, Dublin. It is a splendid casting, while its tone is exceedingly rich, mellow, and musical, and of great fullness and power, the harmonics being perfect. It is one of the finest bells in Ireland, and Mr Byrne states that it is one of the best that he ever made.
Weight of bell 46-1-11 given in the Limerick Leader 2 Nov 1901 (according to a post on the church Facebook page, post 9 Jun 2021).
