[1]History of the bell

Originally cast for Dublin Post Office, quoted as being 43 cwt. It was moved to the Royal University of Ireland, Dublin in 1884. It was then moved to Balla in 1918. The canons were removed, and the current estimated weight (by Bill Hibbert) is 41¼ cwt. Bill Hibbert visited 8 Sept 2020 and wrote about it in the Ringing World, 2 October 2020 pp.968-9.
