Canons: The bells were all cast with flange tops
Casting dates: 12 February, 11 March and 20 May 1908
Completion and invoicing: Left the works, 27 May 1908. Completed 13 July 1908 and invoiced same date (daybook 11 p.447) to Messrs W. Potts & Sons Ltd, Leeds, for South Shields Municipal Buildings. The total cost was £727.2.8. including £28 for stationary fittings.
Inscriptions: No special inscriptions were requested.
Additional information: An article in the Ringing World 26 August 2011 p.881 gives details of the bells as cast in 1908, in the Town Hall built 1905-10 and opened in October 1910.
