| Overhauled | 1986 by John Taylor & Co The bell was fitted a new cast iron horseshoe-shaped headstock for slow counter-balanced swinging on a motor drive. It was sounded for the first time after rehanging on 9 November 1986. 1963 by John Taylor & Co Originally hung for full circle ringing, the fittings were modified to enable the bell to be swung automatically. This work involved the removal of the stay, slider and ground pulley, the renewal of the bearings, and the provision of an electric motor and associated switchgear. |
