Notes

[1]Notes on origin of the bells

The bell on display is the larger of a pair of bells, dated 1684 by the same founder, that used to hang in Upleatham Old Church. This bell was first transferred to Upleatham New Church. Both bells were subsequently transferred to Skelton Old Church, although the smaller bell has since been stolen.
