Update log
22/04/2024 | Overhaul added; 1,2: weight added; 1: date amended; 2: founder amended [Church guide gives date of Neale bell as 1690 (not 1620), which makes better sense (although this becomes Neale’s latest known bell). Presumably recorded when the bells were rehung in 2007. The lettering on the 1891 bell is that of L&J (identified by CJP) – NOT Warner via Chris Pickford, from personal visit (16/Apr/2024) and citing church guide] |
21/04/2024 | Frame added [Chris Pickford, personal visit (16/04/2024)] |
27/12/2022 | 1: date amended. Frederick Sharpe received the 1620 date from a Mr L H Chambers and he assumes that Mr Chambers misread it. Frederick Sharpe in his book assumes he meant 1670. The dated side of the bell is proving inaccessible. [David Pearsall] |
