Paul Cattermole visited in August 1981 but according to CB Norfolk relied on the inscription read by Ranald Clouston using a telescope: M&S London 1924. According to the Midnapore website, the bell is inscribed: M&S London From Thelveton Church Norfolk Cast 1762 Recast 1925. The latter source has been used here.
