There is no evidence for the 1607 John II Clarke bell: - Not listed in Elphick - Not seen in the tower by Andrew Nicholson during 2018 restoration - Not on David Sloman’s master list of bells by John II Clarke - David Kirkcaldy says the only John II Clarke bell in Sussex he is aware of (that has not subsequently been recast) is at Brighton, S Nicholas
