[2]Notes about the bell

The date does not appear on the bell (according to L’Estrange). The church guide records it as 1781, but 1787 is given by P Cattermole and L Townsend, published in John Ketteringham’s Church Bells of Lincolnshire. The bell originally came from Harmston in Lincolnshire in 1798. The tower fell in 1912 and was never rebuilt.
