The two bells hang in a frame for four with the centre two pits vacant. The bells were rehung on new timber headstocks by Whitechapel in 1958. They do not have stays or sliders but could be run full-circle, except that the state of the frame and tower mean that chiming only is permitted.
The frame is a wooden lowside frame with the timbers joined with iron pegs and cotters. It is likely to have been installed around 1675 when the largest bell was cast but there is no direct evidence for this.
