[2]Notes on the bell
This bell hangs dead
at ground level in an upright steel frame outside the church (so turning not applicable). It was the second of five at Tettenhall until 1841, sold to Mears and re-sold to Miss Hinckes for the new church of St. Mary, Wolverhampton (demolished 1950). It was used temporarily at Tettenhall (after fire damage at the church) and acquired for Aldersley in 1957. (C J Pickford)
