| Projects & overhauls | 2026 by John Taylor & Co (major overhaul) Severe rusting cracked a number of the cast iron frame sides – these were dismantled and repaired by welding. All frameside base bolts removed and replaced with galvanized steel bolts. New galvanized steel wall anchors manufactured and fitted to the top of the bell frame. Bells lifted and their bearings cleaned/replaced as necessary. All clappers and crown staples refurbished and annealed. Internal tower acoustics improved 1911 by John Taylor & Co (ring created) Ring installed |
