[1]Founder of the 5th
2 bells cast by John Kebyll which eventually formed 3 and 4 of 6. In 1887, J C L Stahlschmidt judged the second cross in the inscription to be one formerly used by Stephen Norton, so this founder has also been associated with the bells. The former 4th was recast in 1896 while the former 3rd is now the 5th of 8. John Kebyll was the conclusion of David Cawley using other identification methods, namely that it bears the arms of the Kebyll family, and John Kebyll is thought to have been casting between 1360 - 1380. (By convention Dove notes such bells at the most recent end of their casting period if the precise date is unknown.)
