Layout is similar to 5.4 with pit E extended across the width of the frame and the ends of pits of A and C open.
The variant truss type of 5.L is a king post and asymmetrical braces, one from sill to head on one side and on the other side one brace from king post to sill and another in parallel from head to corner post.
