Transferred from Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, S Peter
The Jarrow bells were found in Shepherd’s Scrap Yard in Byker, Newcastle and subsequently installed at Heworth.
The following events happened while the ring was at Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, S Peter
1971
The ring of 6 was removed from the church prior to its demolition. The bells were stored at a local chemical works, but then disappeared and were assumed lost.
