The frame consists of a section containing bells 7,8,9,10,11,12 where Hayward Mills reused all the 1957 cast iron frame sides by Mears & Stainbank with trusses 8.3.A.h. Elsewhere, new frame sides of steel have been included by Hayward Mills dated 2008 with trusses 8.1.B.a which contain bells 1,2,3,4,5,6,6b.
The layout is closest to Layout 12.2; the pits for #4 and #5 have been turned at right-angles and are positioned next to the pit for #6; the pits for #7 and #8 have been turned at right-angles and are positioned at right-angles to the pit for #9; and the pit for #6b is positioned next to the pit for #6.
Prior to 2008 there were two parallel but separate cast iron frames by Mears & Stainbank, 1957, each with layout 4.1. One contained bells 1,2,7,8 of 8, with the other containing bells 3,4,5,6. They had trusses of 8.3.A.h.
