[1]Upper frame
Frame Fr2 originally had non-standard Trusses of Type 6.D but extending across the full length of two pits. It had a layout of Pits D,E,F of Layout 6.1. Prior to 1971, pits were allocated as follows 2/8 => Pit D; 3/8 => Pit E; 5/8 => Pit F. After 1971, all 3 bells were moved to the modified Fr1.

[2]Lower frame
Prior to 1971, Fr1 held bells 1,4,6,7,8 in layout 5.1 as follows: 1/8 => Pit A; 4/8 => Pit B; 6/8 => Pit C; 7/8 => Pit D; 8/8 => Pit E. In 1971, the original Pit D was been sub-divided using RSJs into three pits to contain bells 1/8,2/8,3/8 with Layout 3.3. The original Pit E was sub-divided lengthwise using RSJs into two pits to contain bells 4/8,5/8 with Layout 2.X1. The original Pit A contains bell 6/8; Pit B contains bell 7/8; and Pit C contains bell 8/8.
