Three new treble bells to be cast to augment the ring to a ring of twelve plus sharp second. A new cast iron and galvanized steel bell frame for thirteen bells to be manufactured together with new ringing fittings (the bell wheel centres will be adapted and re-used). A new automatic chiming system of electro-magnetic chiming hammers and an Apollo Control unit will be installed on all thirteen bells. Bells lifted from their pits for the cleaning/replacement of their bearings. 7th bell headstock returned to Foundry for checking/replacement of gudgeons. Various sliders replaced with new and a new timber shafted clapper manufactured for the tenor bell. The single Ellacombe Hammer on the 4th bell restored and re-fitted. | John Taylor & Co |
