27 Hawkley, Hampshire, S Peter & S Paul All eight bells are now in the workshop; the poor sounding 7th bell is to be retired and will become the clock bell; it will also be fitted with a trigger action hammer so that it can be used as a service bell; the replacement bell is by James Barwell of Birmingham 1870 sourced by the Keltek trust; the 1867 Warner 4th is also to be replaced with an M&S bell of 1870; both bells will be tuned at Matthew Higby’s works.
