Dove and the pNBR have lost a great supporter with the death, on Monday, of Peter. As well as being a much-valued personal friend, Peter made a huge contribution to this work, providing the details of the bells for 347 towers (mainly extracted from Fred Sharpe’s Oxon and Berks books), together with another 567 contributions adding to information that others had supplied, putting him in 6th position overall in the task. He will be much missed by us as well as by The Ringing World Board. Our sympathies go to Eunice his wife, and Christine and Jonathan his children and their families.
