It is our impression that the inclusion of the postcode information for a UK church - aimed originally at helping to locate the building concerned - is now redundant insofar that we provide its latitude and longitude (and to 5 decimal places). And that, of course applies to ALL rings and not just those within the UK.
Thus we propose to eliminate this datum from our record for each ring ... unless we receive strong feedback that doing so would be undesirable. (SatNavs, we understand, should be equally effective with locations being specified by the lat and long coordinates as contrasted with the postcode.) We plan the removal of the postcode to take place as from 1 January 2014.
