[1]History of the bells
This church used to have a ring of 3 bells. In 2023, the majority of the ring from Church Kirk was brought over along with frame sides that were used to build a new two tier frame. The 1 and 3 from the former ring of 3 were transferred out and the 2nd retained and hung dead in the new frame. The old timber frame was destroyed. The bells and frame sides from Church Kirk themselves came from Christ Church, Pendlebury, so bells and frame are in their third church.

[2]Origin of the bell
This bell is the 2nd bell remaining from the earlier ring of 3 bells. It is hung on a fabricated frame at the end of the 3rd pit of the main ring. The former ring was anticlockwise and had a tuning of approx 2,2♭,3 of 3. The treble and tenor of the former ring of three have been acquired by the Keltek Trust.

[3]Frame trusses
Fr2 has a single steel truss (8.1.B.a); the remainder are cast iron (8.3.A.h)
Published: 25/02/2024
[4]Origin of the frames
The two tier frame used the frame sides from Church Kirk (where the bells were originally from), remodelled by John Taylor. Before Church Kirk, these frame sides were at Pendlebury, so this is their third home.
