| Projects & overhauls | 2024 by John Taylor & Co (major overhaul) The ring of six were removed from the tower for conservation, cleaning and the removal of their canons and cast-in crown staples. The bells were retuned and new ringing fittings manufactured (except wheel centres). The cast iron & steel bell frame was cleaned & painted and an extra under grillage manufactured and installed to strengthen it 1909 by Mears & Stainbank (ring created) Ring installed |
