Projects & overhauls
2024 by John Taylor & Co (major overhaul)
Augmented to eight with two new trebles; existing third bell retired and replacement cast; extend bell frame; provide all new fittings; supply electro-magnetic chiming system; install new ringing gallery; provide new access ladders throughout tower. The largest three bells have been strengthened by bronze welding to strengthen their crowns and clapper indentation points.
1926 by Gillett & Johnston (major overhaul)
The old treble was recast and also a new bell cast to augment the ring from 5 to 6 and all were rehung in a new frame with all new fittings throughout.
