Testimonial: Leeds Vicarage, Maidstone. August 26th. 1912. Dear Mr. Bowell, I have much pleasure in telling you our bells at Leeds Church (all 10 without exception) run well, thanks to the most efficient way in which you carried out the restoration of them. Some 80 Ringers were here at an Association meeting this Spring, many of whom have had many years’ experience, and they one and all spoke of your work in a way which should make you feel proud of it. I shall always be pleased to bear testimony to your excellent work on Leeds bells, which had for many years been in such a bad state, and to act as a reference at any time you should require it, as I feel I cannot speak too highly of the work you and your men did here. I am, yours faithfully, H.R. HUGHES
