From Bowell’s ledger book 8th May 1912- New clapper joints for 8 bells. New wheel braces and truing wheels. 10 new pullies and boxes. New garter block to 7th bell. Cleaning out bearings. Rearranging the wire which pulls off clock hammer, new wire, travelling and other expenses, £9; Overhauling chiming apparatus, etc. £1. Total £10. Paid by cheque 16 Sept 1912
